Cherodeep (Chero) Goswami

Cherodeep (Chero) Goswami serves as chief information and digital officer for Providence, which encompasses all aspects of technology functions, IS strategy and operations, including cybersecurity, deployment of artificial intelligence and internally focused areas of the digital platform. In this role, Chero helps lead and advance key strategic priorities, including easing the administrative burden for physicians and clinicians, and implementing technology solutions that extend Providence’s Mission to serve all, especially the poor and vulnerable.

Prior to joining Providence, Chero served as a system vice president and chief information and digital officer for the University of Wisconsin Health System, leading strategic direction for IT, informatics, artificial intelligence and other digital activities.

Before UW Health, Chero worked at BJC Healthcare in St. Louis, where he served in a variety of leadership roles, including vice president for business relationship management. He also has experience working in other industries, including finance, telecom and transportation. Chero received dual master's degrees from Webster University and is an alumnus of Columbia University in New York.
