As part of our commitment to patient-centered care, we offer a comprehensive cardiac rehabilitation program to rebuild your strength after heart surgery or another cardiac event. This service aims to help you regain your fitness and feel more confident about your recovery.

Our cardiologists are experts in the most advanced therapeutic and surgical techniques. They take a team-based approach to your heart care, working with some of the best surgeons, heart specialists and nurse practitioners in the region. We also provide a wide range of support services that extend well beyond conventional treatment. Our offerings include everything from prevention and education to nutrition, pain management and spiritual care.

Our team uses minimally invasive procedures whenever possible to improve outcomes and reduce recovery times. These innovative methods include transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) to replace an aortic valve. We also recently opened a state-of-the-art catheterization lab to provide world-class care in your local community.

We have one of the only open-heart programs in Montana. Our robust structural heart program gives local patients advanced, individualized care close to home. And our new vascular surgery program offers procedures that patients previously had to travel to receive.

The Providence Heart Institute offers compassionate, innovative heart care tailored specifically to women. Heart disease in women can have different symptoms than heart disease in men - and this requires a comprehensive approach to diagnosis, management and prevention. Symptoms of heart disease in women may include:

  • Unusual fatigue
  • Unusual back, abdominal, shoulder or jaw pain
  • Some women may have typical symptoms such as chest pain, arm pain, nausea, sweating, or a sense of impending doom
