Our Approach

At Providence Holy Cross Medical Center, our therapists work one-on-one with each patient to provide comprehensive, personalized rehabilitation therapy. Our space includes a fully equipped gym with modern equipment and private treatment areas that allow you to focus on the healing process.

Our team of physical therapists have advanced training and certifications in the following:

  • Hand therapy
  • Lymphedema
  • Neurologic rehabilitation
  • Orthopedic rehabilitation
  • Pediatric rehabilitation

Our main goal is to meet your physical, emotional, spiritual and social needs – and help you get back to living your life to the fullest.

Our Services

Our programs include a wide variety of services, each with their own individual focus and purpose.

Our team of certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialists (OCS) specialize in treating musculoskeletal injuries and providing personalized, one-on-one treatments.

This comprehensive care helps restore function, reduce pain and improve your quality of life.

For athletes, we can also help improve performance and prevent further sports-related injuries.

Our team of Occupational Therapists (OT), Physical Therapists (PT) and Speech Therapists (ST) hold advanced certifications in stroke care, Parkinson’s disease and brain injury rehabilitation.

We collaborate on personalized treatment plans that restore function, balance and independence, promote recovery and enhance your quality of life.

Vestibular disorders – like vertigo, Meniere's disease, labyrinthitis and more – often affect the inner ear and balance.

Through vestibular rehabilitation, our therapists focus on improving balance, reducing dizziness and enhancing your stability overall. We design individualized care plans to help you avoid falls and regain your confidence in daily activities.

Our highly specialized experts offer personalized care for hand and upper extremity conditions, including:

  • Arthritis
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Fractures
  • Post-surgical recovery and management
  • Tendon injuries

We design treatment plans to help reduce pain, regain function and improve your quality of life.

Lymphedema occurs when your tissues swell due to the accumulation of lymph fluid. We treat both primary lymphedema – a genetic or congenital condition – and secondary lymphedema, including pediatric cases.

Secondary lymphedema is typically caused by damage from surgery, radiation therapy, infections or trauma, like cancer treatments where lymph nodes are removed or injured.

Our program focuses on reducing lymphedema, managing its symptoms and improving your overall function.

There are many reasons why patients need to prioritize their pelvic health. Pregnancy and childbirth can damage the muscles, ligaments and nerves of the pelvic floor. Pelvic floor disorders (PFDs) like incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse often feel embarrassing and seem untreatable.

Our patients with pelvic floor dysfunction get specialized, compassionate care and personalized, one-on-one care programs to reach optimal function and improve their quality of life.

We specialize in the assessment and treatment of swallowing disorders. This includes conditions like strokes, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) that affect the nerves and muscles involved in swallowing.

Our experts use advanced diagnostic procedures – including Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) and Barium Swallow Studies – to create personalized treatments that improve swallowing function, increase your safety and independence and enhance your overall quality of life.

We’re dedicated to helping patients improve their communication skills and cognitive function caused by a variety of factors like strokes, traumatic brain injuries, neurodegenerative diseases and more. Our goal is to help you regain as much of your independence as possible.

Our certified therapists provide personalized, one-on-one treatments tailored to language and cognitive challenges, including memory, attention, problem-solving and executive function.

We treat a variety of voice disorders, including hoarseness, vocal cord dysfunction and post-surgical voice rehabilitation.

We provide personalized, one-on-one care to help patients improve vocal function and communication abilities – all tailored to your individual needs and goals.

Yes. Our specialized therapists provide personalized care and family consultations for young patients – from newborns to adolescents. Our pediatric care includes comprehensive therapeutic, developmental, swallowing, speech, language and hearing services.

Yes, some of our patients do see multiple therapists depending on their specific needs and the nature of their condition. Or they’ll see one therapist to treat multiple symptoms that they’re experiencing.

For example, if you’re a Parkinson’s patient, you might see both an Occupational Therapist (OT) and a Speech Therapist (ST) to help with your symptoms. Or, if you’re being treated for breast cancer, you might see an OT to improve both your range of motion and ease lymphedema caused by chemotherapy or radiation.

Our multidisciplinary approach ensures that you get the most comprehensive care possible. Also, we try to treat all the various aspects of your condition at one location for your convenience.
