Health Equity Grants support system and local projects; increasing the health and well-being of vulnerable patient populations

The Providence Health Equity Fund is a mission-driven initiative aimed at reducing health disparities and increasing equitable care and services for patients and communities.
Launched in 2020 as part of Providence's broader commitment to health equity, the fund is investing $50 million over five years to support projects and strategies that address the root causes of health inequities. This investment focuses on building and strengthening relationships with diverse communities, partnering with local organizations, and implementing data-informed health equity strategies. The fund's ultimate goal is to create a world where every person has the opportunity to live their healthiest life.
Over the past four years, Providence has funded 111 projects across its family of organizations and within local communities, totaling $35.5 million in allocated funding. In 2024, Providence allocated nearly $6 million in funding support for 34 projects that expand patient access, increase care quality, and elevate patient experience for patients and communities disproportionately impacted by health disparities.
