Leapfrog gives Queen of the Valley ‘A’ grade in latest survey
NAPA (May 30, 2025) – In the latest Leapfrog Hospital Safety Survey for the spring of 2025, Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center received an “A” grade.
“I’m very proud to see that the hard work our caregivers put into providing the highest quality of care every day for our community has been recognized on a national level,” said Amy Herold, M.D., chief administrative officer and chief medical officer.
The Leapfrog Group is an independent national nonprofit watchdog focused on patient safety. Leapfrog assigns an “A,” “B,” “C,” “D” or “F” grade to general hospitals across the country based on over 30 measures of errors, accidents, injuries and infections as well as the systems hospitals have in place to prevent them.
Queen of the Valley moved up from “B” to “A in this most recent survey. Using evidence-based measures of patient safety, including Medicare data, The Leapfrog Group calculates a numerical score for 3,000 eligible hospitals in the U.S. twice a year.
