State-of-the-art hyperbaric oxygen therapy is an innovative treatment that stimulates cell growth, improves circulation and increases immune function. Because the body's own wound-healing mechanisms are oxygen dependent, breathing pure oxygen allows the blood to carry 15-20 times the normal amount to the body’s tissues, effectively accelerating the healing process.
Usually administered daily, patients are able to relax, watch television or listen to music, inside a clear, comfortable chamber, while a respiratory therapist certified in hyperbaric medicine carefully monitors the session.
