At Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center, we’re proud to offer our community a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) – the highest level of neonatal care available in the San Fernando Valley, certified by California Children’s Services.
Our NICU provides the most advanced and highly specialized care for critically ill babies regardless of birth weight, gestational age or place of birth.
By working closely with each parent and creating a supportive and compassionate environment, our neonatal team provides some of the most advanced equipment and strategies of care available today for diagnosing and treating critically ill newborns.
To provide top quality care, Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical’s NICU provides a wide range of services, including:
- 24/7 neonatologist attendance at any high-risk delivery
- Advanced ventilation techniques including high frequency ventilation, nitric oxide and non-invasive ventilation
- Breast milk donation
- Developmentally centered therapy, research-based positioning and motor development support through physical and occupational therapy
- Patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) ligation
- Retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) laser surgery
- Therapeutic hypothermia
