Our Approach
Providence Regional Medical Center Everett’s Partial Hospitalization Program helps patients build effective coping skills that improve their self-management of behavioral health symptoms. We proudly embrace a trauma-informed environment of care, fitting your treatment to your individual needs.
Through short-term day treatment, we provide:
- Daily group sessions
- Family sessions, as needed
- Psychiatric medication consultations
- Weekly one-on-one sessions

We help treat acute behavioral health needs with a variety of diagnostic and treatment-related services, including:
- Group psychotherapy
- Individual psychotherapy
- Pharmacy ancillary services
- Psychiatric evaluations and diagnosis
- Psychiatric medication consultations
- Spiritual care
As part of the Partial Hospitalization Program, your care team could include:
- Chaplains who provide spiritual care
- Psychiatric advanced registered nurse practitioners (ARNP)
- Psychotherapists
Our program is appropriate for people who:
- Aren’t an imminent danger to themselves or others
- Can access support networks in the community to help after program hours
- Can participate in intensive, group-based therapy
- Can take medication as prescribed
- Continue to have symptoms that require more support than what’s possible in a traditional outpatient setting
- Experience acute mental health symptoms, such as anxiety and depression, which are likely to require inpatient hospitalization if left untreated
- Have reliable transportation
- Have significant difficulty with normal daily responsibilities, such as self-care, work, school and/or care of dependents
- Need structure and intensive skills practice

A partial hospitalization program is a short-term day treatment program for people with acute mental health concerns.
Our Partial Hospitalization Program provides intensive support to help you independently function in your community.
- It is a day treatment program held Mon - Fri: 9 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
- Initially, we schedule a phone intake appointment with a psychotherapist.
- Patients attend for approximately 10 days depending on their needs and insurance coverage.
- Participants return home each evening so that they can manage personal responsibilities and independence while receiving intensive treatment and support.
There is a cafeteria on campus which serves food throughout the day, and we provide lunch vouchers to patients.
We accept most commercial and private insurance plans and work with your insurance provider to ensure that the required level of care is covered before you begin treatment.
During the program intake process, we advocate for your care and check to make sure your insurance authorizes treatment.
We also accept three Medicaid plans:
- Community Health Plan of Washington (CHPW)
- Coordinated Care Health
- Wellpoint
Since you’ll be going home in the evening, we just want to make sure that you’ll be able to return each day to attend your continued care appointments.
Patients and their supportive visitors can park in the on-site parking garage.
We validate your parking during each visit.
