Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital Welcomes Kendra Crawford as Chief Nursing Officer
SANTA ROSA, Calif. (June 4, 2025) — Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce the appointment of Kendra Crawford, MS, BSN, RN, CPHQ, NEA-BC, FACHE, as the new chief nursing officer. With a distinguished career dedicated to enhancing the quality of care, patient outcomes and excellence in nursing practice, Crawford brings a wealth of experience and a global perspective to nursing leadership.
Crawford joins Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital from Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, where she served as associate chief nursing officer. Her extensive background includes key leadership positions at renowned institutions such as Kaiser Permanente, Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City – Mayo Clinic in Abu Dhabi, UAE and Health First, among others. Her clinical expertise spans women's and children's services, dialysis, perioperative services and quality management.

As a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and a board-certified nurse executive, Crawford is dedicated to empowering nurses, advancing evidence-based practices and building strong collaborative relationships with interdisciplinary teams. Her leadership philosophy emphasizes nurse mentorship and professional development, ensuring that the nursing team at Memorial Hospital can deliver exceptional care.
Previously serving as an interim nurse leader in Sonoma County, she expressed her enthusiasm for returning to the area. “The community here is unique, and I’m eager to reconnect and contribute to the hospital’s mission in a meaningful way,” Crawford said. “My initial focus will be on getting to know my team. Building relationships enables me to empower nurses to continuously achieve clinical excellence and provide outstanding patient care.”
