Junior Volunteer Opportunities

Thank you for your interest in the Junior Volunteer Program at Providence-Swedish in Everett. This program offers young individuals, ages 16 and up, an opportunity to contribute to the comfort and care of our patients while gaining valuable exposure to the healthcare environment. Junior volunteers assist in a variety of supportive roles throughout the hospital, build connections with peers and staff, and explore potential career paths in healthcare.

Requirements for Junior Volunteers

To join our Junior Volunteer Program, you will need to:

  • Be at least 16 years old
  • Commit to volunteering for 48 hours of service. This will take about 3 months to complete
  • Commit to at least one 3 to 4-hour shift per week
  • Completing a health screening, and all required paperwork
  • Complete a National Background Check after you turn 18 (If you are still volunteering at that time)
  • Providing two recommendations using the forms provided in the application or providing your own letters
  • An interview with Volunteer Services staff
  • Completing an orientation and training for your role
