Virtual visits help ease the way for patients throughout Texas. These appointments provide the convenience and accessibility of being able to receive care for minor health concerns in the comfort of your home via your smartphone, tablet or computer.

Please be aware, in-person care visits may be required for appointments that need a physical exam, diagnostic testing, or any treatments that require direct contact, like immunizations.

Providence operates in the following states: Alaska, California, Montana, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas and Washington.

If you aren’t a resident in one of those states, then you might not be able to use our virtual care services.

Yes, you can schedule an appointment to meet with a clinician even if you are not a Providence patient. You can use either service for minor, non-emergency injuries or conditions.

We have licensed Providence clinicians in Alaska, California, Montana, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas and Washington. If you’re traveling in one of those states, you can use any of our virtual care options.

Certain states may have restrictions about which clinicians you can see, and if you’ll be able to see the clinician that you normally would back home.

Your clinician will direct you to a nearby location that can help with the X-ray or other procedures that you might need.

If there is a specific city or neighborhood you prefer, please let your clinician know.

While virtual visits can be used for many minor medical conditions, they are not intended for any appointments that may need a physical examination, like what a heatstroke consultation might require. For a medical condition such as this, we might recommend you schedule an in-person appointment.
