Washington
Welcome to Washington's 2024 Annual Report
In Washington, the Providence family of organizations partners with dozens of community agencies to reduce obstacles to access for essential services, including health care, food and shelter. We are proud of our ongoing commitment to community benefit and the $757 million invested across the state in 2024.
Our targeted investments supported many programs. A few highlights:
- We invested $650,000 in a nurse navigator program at Providence Swedish Cancer Institute in Lacey. By having someone else to lean on and lead the way, patients can focus on getting well.
- In Seattle, Providence Swedish’s investment in a nurse navigator program helps provide whole-person care for formerly unhoused seniors and veterans at Blake House, a 350-unit supportive housing development.
- In the Inland Northwest, we invested $50,000 to help improve the birthing experiences of Black families through the Shades of Motherhood Network.
- An initiative at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in the Tri-Cities addresses behavioral health access in two ways: by funding increased counseling availability at a partner clinic and supporting students who will graduate into behavioral health practice.
- We invested more than $2 million to ensure the critical services of Providence Intervention Center for Assault & Abuse are available and accessible to vulnerable victims in North Puget Sound.
